Mike Seger partnered with ActivePT in June 2011. He is independently managing our two
newest clinics in Lake City and Wabasha, MN. Mike received his degree in physical therapy from the University
of Iowa in 1976. Upon graduation, he worked in a 300-bed hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. During his four years
serving Cottage Hospital, he held the position of Director of Rehabilitation Services. In 1980 Mike opened a
private practice clinic with two orthopedic surgeons. In 1982 he moved to Hawaii and opened outpatient clinics
in Kaneohe and Honolulu. During his five years in Hawaii, Mike began to initiate injury prevention programs for
industry. In 1987, he moved to Santa Rosa, California and opened Pacific Physical Therapy in 1988. Over the past
25 years, his efforts have been concentrated in orthopedic and industrial rehabilitation, injury prevention, and
ergonomic analysis of the workplace.
In addition to his physical therapy services, Mike has implemented injury prevention programs for San Francisco
Bay area companies such as The Golden Gate Bridge and Transportation District, Pacific Gas & Electric, Kaiser
Permanente, the Cities of Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Windsor and Rohnert Park, and the Hansel Auto Dealer Group.
Mike currently resides in Wabasha with his wife and enjoys golfing, hiking, and backpacking in southeastern Minnesota.
