Pain or injury in the foot affects everything you do during your day. It can even keep you from sleeping at night. When
pain develops or an injury or surgery stops you from living your life normally, our foot and ankle pain program can help. We
work to reduce your pain quickly with state of the art tools, like the ML830 laser, special massage techniques, and special
ways of supporting the foot or ankle to reduce pain quickly. Orthotics or slight changes to orthotics you already have can
be made based on both your natural foot structure and how you walk on your feet. Once pain begins to resolve, we work to
get you back to all the activities you were able to do before your pain started. Most importantly, we teach you what you need
to know to keep getting better and hopefully prevent future injuries or pain from occurring.
Common foot problems:
- Ankle sprain - if you have had multiple ankle sprains, you have lost some of your ability to react quickly. Going
through a formal rehabilitation program is often very helpful to reduce your risk of rolling your ankle again.
- Plantar fasciitis and heel spurs - pain in the arch of the foot or pain directly on the heel bone.
- Tendinitis - pain can develop in many areas of the foot with overuse of a tendon. This can be from a change in
activity, change in shoes, or simply due to the structure of your foot.
- The right or wrong shoe can be the key. Having both your foot and walking pattern examined can ensure you are buying
the right type of shoe for your foot. Look for an upcoming shoe screening event or make an appointment to have your foot
evaluated today.
- Orthotics that were casted to your foot are often not enough. Having a skilled professional, such as a physical therapist
who specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle problems, assess the way your orthtics work with your foot structure when you
stand or walk on them can be the key to get the most out of your orthotics. Our therapists may make minor modifications to the
orthotics to help resolve your pain or problem faster.
- A referral to physical therapy is not usually necessary. If you are unsure if you need a referral, just call and arrange
a time to meet with a physical therapist. We will take care of any paperwork that is needed to satisfy your insurance
company's requirements.
